It’s Episode 4, and the girls are giving face, giving camp, and giving tribute to the herstory of the house that Ru built. With only ten queens left and the competition tightening like a corset before Snatch Game. This week was all about honoring iconic Drag Race moments with a remix, a runway, and (you guessed it) a side of drama.
Here at Racer Chaser, we have memory problems. That’s why we don’t just remember Drag Race history, we lip sync it, remix it, and make it fashion. Let’s jump in.
Main Challenge: Bitch, I’m a Drag Queen! (The Remix)
This week’s maxi challenge had the queens performing in two girl groups for the fictional remix album Bitch, I’m a Drag Queen! Each track was inspired by iconic Drag Race moments. The hits include Latrice’s “Get those nuts away from my face!” meets Laganja’s “I feel very attacked!”
Group 1 gave us sass, stomp, and scream-laughs:
- Crystal Envy embodied Latrice Royale’s legendary “Unprofessional!” moment with gravitas and power. It was part sermon, part slay. Is it possible to go wrong with anything Latrice?
- Onya Nurve threw glitter, tantrums, and hilarious Laganja energy all over the stage with “Put Your Lighters Up.” It was stoned perfection. Disclaimer: No lighters were harmed in the writing of this recap.
Group 2 struggled a bit with their choreo and cohesion:
- Joella took on Mariah Balenciaga’s “We Write the Story” with all the passion of a bedtime audiobook. The judges were not inspired. Mariah deserves an apology.
- Kori King, who is the season’s most underwhelming performer in challenges yet the most outspoken contestant in confessionals, got lost in the group dynamics, fading behind louder personalities.
It was a challenge that tested not just performance, but memory, creativity, and the ability to channel Drag Race icons without becoming a parody.
Runway Category: “Quilted for Your Pleasure”
You want textile realness? You got it. This week’s runway theme was all about quilts. All the queens were told to bring comfort, color, and couture. Some did, and some made us want to nap.
- Onya Nurve turned out a stunning floor-length cape crafted from African print quilt pieces, serving heritage, elegance, and warmth. She looked like the future of fashion on the cover of AfroVogue. Stun.
- Joella wore a quilted mattress complete with a giant portrait of RuPaul on the reverse. Yes, a mattress. But was it fashion?
- Sam Star had a wig formed into a pillow. Bedhead beautiful. Fashion.
Lip Sync Showdown
After a lukewarm performance and a lumpy runway, Joella found herself in the bottom once again. Joining her was Kori King, who didn’t stand out enough in the challenge to earn a safe spot.
The two queens battled it out to The Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons” (feat. Snoop Dogg), and honey, those buttons got pushed.
- Joella tried to bring sexy camp by turning her back to the judges so that the RuPaul portrait could “lip sync” for the judges. A giant and unflattering painting of RuPaul’s face on the back of a mattress wriggled around lazily on the main stage as part of Season 17. Is there a way to describe this that makes sense?
- Kori King did her usual thing.
Surprising no one, Kori stayed while Joella sashayed.
Badonka Dunk Tank. Thanks to Las Vegas. Get Michelle wet for a second chance.
The drag gods were not under Joella’s bed.
References, Puns & Gags Explained
- “Bitch, I’m a Drag Queen!” – A fake greatest hits album filled with real Drag Race quotes, used to turn the queens into pop icons from another reality based on real albums and tv commercials back in the day.
- Latrice’s “Unprofessional” – A moment from Season 4 that lives in infamy. Crystal Envy bringing it back was risky. Thankfully, she slayed.
- Quilted Runway – A callback to Drag Race’s love of unconventional materials, storytelling through texture, and the endless metaphor that drag is comfort.
Keep the Conversation Going on Racer Chaser!
Which remix track would YOU slay? Did Crystal Envy’s sermon send you, or was Onya Nurve your top pick? And can someone explain Joella’s mattress concept to us again, because WTF?
Jump into the fun:
- Forum Threads: Break down the performances, rank the looks, and talk about which Drag Race moment you’d remix.
- Your Profile: Post your own quilted drag look or a meme about Joella’s bedwear.
- Polls: Who wore it best: Dolly, Laganja, or a literal mattress?
- Photo Drop: Show us your favorite cozy drag moments from real life!
Racer Chaser is your comfort zone and your main stage, so pull back the covers and spill the tea!
