This week, the queens were challenged to bare their souls in a storytelling and interpretive dance extravaganza with personal tales and dramatic choreography. “Ugliest Dress Ever,” had fashion take a nosedive in the best way possible. Sadly, the recycled runway theme continued to confuse the queens. Worse was the cringe main challenge and predictable outcome.
Here at Racer Chaser, we don’t just write episode recaps–we interpretive dance reviews.
Main Challenge: Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent Monologues
The queens were paired up to perform monologues on assigned themes, with one queen narrating and the other interpreting through dance. Jewels decided the performance order after winning the entertaining mini challenge. All the queens were leotarded. The pairs and their themes were:
- Jewels Sparkles and Suzie Toot: Jewels shared a supernatural tale, “Out of this World,” while Suzie danced. Suzie shared “Learned That the Hard Way,” a story about a spelling bee mishap that resulted in a loss but a lesson learned. They were both okay but a little too earnest.
- Lana Ja’Rae and Sam Star: Lana’s “Lost” was about being lost deciding between coming or going. Sam discussed being triggered in “Triggered,” which probably triggered a few people. This part of the show felt both lost and triggering.
- Lexi Love and Onya Nurve: Lexi’s “Payback’s a Bitch” was about karma. Onya’s “Obsessed” recounted her stint as a raw vegan. Listening to Onya admit to being obviously obnoxious while Lexi threw herself into her dance was easily the best presentation of the night.
Onya Nurve and Lexi Love delivered standout performances, earning them a shared win. Their chemistry and balance of humor and heart resonated with the judges.
Runway Category: “Ugliest Dress Ever”
The queens took to the runway in their most hideous ensembles:
- Onya Nurve: Dressed as a turkey, complete with a stoned headpiece and feathered details that were more costume than couture.
- Lexi Love: Wore a multi-colored tutu explosion, blending bad taste with lazy execution in that it was simply dozens of tutus stacked on top of each and not actually a dress that was ugly. She was still painted and cinched! Did anyone else notice that this was the least skin Lexi has shown this season?
- Suzie Toot: Transformed into a Christmas tree, adorned with ornaments and tinsel.
- Jewels Sparkles: Donned an ‘80s prom dress inspired by her mother’s gown. The dress was simply from another time and not actually ugly. Trixie Mattel made this same mistake on Season 7.
- Sam Star: Presented a meat-inspired outfit, reminiscent of a butcher’s display. Exquisitely crafted. For a minute, I thought Lydia B Collins was back.
- Lana Ja’Rae: Recycled a dress previously worn by Kandy Muse, adding her own clownish flair.
Lip Sync Showdown
Sam Star and Lana Ja’Rae landed in the bottom two, facing off to “Illusion” by Dua Lipa.
- Lana Ja’Rae delivered her strongest lip sync yet, embodying the song’s energy and emotion.
- Sam Star struggled to connect, with choreography that felt disjointed.
Despite Lana’s powerful performance, Sam Star was declared the winner, and Lana Ja’Rae was sent home.
Werk Room Watch
Tensions simmered as the queens navigated the emotional weight of the challenge. Suzie Toot and Jewels Sparkles grappled with the balance between sincerity and entertainment, while Sam Star and Lana Ja’Rae struggled to find cohesion in their partnership. Eventually, the judges complained once again that Suzie was too polished.

- C.U.N.T. Monologues – A play on the “Vagina Monologues,” emphasizing the show’s core values of Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent.
- Ugliest Dress Ever – A challenge encouraging queens to embrace bad taste, with many opting for campy, over-the-top designs. Some queens interpret this in that the dress itself is ugly but made with the intention of being beautiful. Others take it to mean what they personally find unappealing, such as blood and gore. Inevitably, a young queen will turn to fashion from before they were born and declare it ugly simply because it is not part of their generation. In the end, it’s always a boring theme.
